This session will address three of the top strategies museums of various sizes can use when seeking funding from a variety of sources including Individuals, Foundations, Corporations, Government Agencies, Membership, Planned Gifts and Capital Campaigns. These skills can be used by development professionals as well as other staff involved in fundraising requests. This session covers basic Development skills as explained by seasoned Development professionals.

Format: Regular session/panel (roundtable, single speaker, etc.)
Uniqueness: This session addresses a wide variety of fundraising strategies that are scalable, accessible, and applicable in a variety of settings.
Objectives:
Audience members will learn:
- The different areas of fundraising: Individuals, Foundations, Corporations, Government Agencies, Memberships, Planned Gifts and Capital Campaigns.
- 3 best practices when trying to connect with different types of donors, or engaging in different strategies for fundraising. How to think about their own current Museum donors and what fundraising vehicle or method of support might work best for those donors when fundraising for the museum.
