ID: WMA2026_587
Track:
Let’s talk planning and organizing! Join Arie and Niki for new ideas and solid tools for getting more organized in a rapidly changing world. We’ll discuss big ideas like simplicity, flexibility, and the importance of understanding your “why” before starting anything new. We’ll also offer samples and templates of the systems we love best, giving you new “ways” to consider. Whether you’re a planner at heart, or don’t know where to start – you belong here.
Session Information
Format: Regular session/panel (roundtable, single speaker, etc.)
Uniqueness: It’s both a discussion and a workshop session; we’ll be sharing big ideas, tactics, and tools that can be explored during the session itself.
Objectives: Session participants will have a clear understanding of a variety of organizing and planning tools, when to engage them, and how to use them in their own careers. Session participants will identify big ideas, theories, and examples of how effective planning is done. They will be able to assess their own skill levels at this time, try on new approaches, and apply these skills back at work. Session participants will broaden their personal networks during the small group portion of the program, where they’ll have real discussion with colleagues old and new. They will connect with other participants and the panel, share their experiences, and learn how others have managed similar situations.
Engagement: During the session, we’ll break for Think-Pair-Share moments, where attendees can process their learning and talk with peers. After the discussions, we will break into small groups. Each group will have a style or tool to explore, try out, and share its effectiveness. Before concluding the session, we’ll reconnect as a large group to share key learnings and talk about customizing the tools. Learning will come from everyone in the session, not just the panelists.
